Expansion Packs and Optional Rules

Expansion Pack 1 – Super Harvest:
• insert ‘super harvest chips’ (golden and silver) with ‘Fish Chips’.
• during the fishing phase, when the player draws a ‘super harvest chip’, he or she has to put back all fishing chips they already got and start fishing (just this time) as if the ‘fish stock marker’ was one position ahead.
• the player who is leading the race board cannot super harvest.

Expansion Pack 2 – Pirate Attack:
• insert the pirate ‘attack chips’ (golden and silver) with the ‘Fish Chips’.
• during the fishing phase, if a player draws an ‘attack chip’, it can send ONE ship back to the Harbor, anyone’s.
• the ‘attack chip’ has to be used in the current (or the next) fishing phase.
• during the attacks, the victims have to pay the Harbor costs ($3) by moving their pawn 3 spaces backwards, and another 3 spaces stolen by the pirate, who will move her/his pawn 3 spaces forward. It’s piracy!
• after the attack, the pirate has to put back the ‘attack chip’.
• the ‘attack chip’ is not considered a fishing chip, so to complete the fishing phase, another ‘fish chip’ has to be drawn.
• if the game is under an Extinction Threat, a pirate attack should happen after the inspection and fine payments.

Optional Rule 1 – Ship Leasing:

The bank has one extra ship players can lease for a year. An extra auction for the lease happens just after the action where players buy ships.

Ships leased can be used not in the current year, but in the next one. After the lease, the ship has to be returned to the bank.
